Michael's Story
In Denison I started working for Kroger when I was 16. After graduating from Denison Sr. High, I attended Grayson Jr. College in Sherman, then Southwestern Oklahoma University in Durant, while still working for Kroger.
I graduated from SOSU in 1972 with a Bachelors Degree in Business and moved to Dallas, where I got married (1973). We have two kids and two grandsons. I worked 10 years as Store Manager for Kroger, then 18 years as Internal Auditor.
I did freelance business writing for small business magazines and wrote local and national newspaper business columns during my 33 years with Kroger.

rrently own an operate a small home decor store in Lancaster, TX, a suburb of Dallas. We live in Red Oak, about 8 miles from the store.
I'm still doing freelance writing, editing and small business article writing -- and teaching online marketers how to make money with article marketing.
As of Feb. 9, 2010, my parents are still alive and well at the same house where I grew up on Elm Street in Denison. Mama's still canning plum jelly (still the best in Texas) and chow chow--and Daddy's still gardening.
I can't believe I'm 60 years old...or maybe it's just a dream. I can't be that old!
But I agree with my good friend, Roger Smith: God is good!
