Michael's Story
Life
I used to ride my bike to school from 68th St. and McKellips, while playing guitar. I hung out at the main mall at school, playing guitar. When I went to work at Cattle Thieves restaurant as a busboy, after work I'd grab a guitar and play with the entertainment in the lounge (Jerry Barnett rest in peace).
It should come to no surprise then, that I created the #1 classic-rock show in Arizona.
What may come as a surprise is all the things which happened in between.
For 10 years I worked at Motorola (govt group) at Hayden and McDowell. There, I learned to design electrical circuits, write software, and integrate the two into something necessary for my paycheck.
In 1990, after growing a conscience, I retired and became an entrepreneur. Four years later, I actually cut the lead weight from my neck and began to climb to a much higher place.
An ecumenical epiphany occurred, and the realization that we ARE the Creator turned my life around. My medical costs for the last 10 years has been under $250 cumulative! Smiles are a daily happening, and whatever I really want manifests.
Having always loved Corvettes, I bought and sold several for a while, and invested in commodities.
Here are some other things I did bef...Expand for more
ore starting the band:
- day trading (lost $17,000 on Intel options)
- started the multimedia company "Ultramedia"
wrote, edited, and/or mastered over 500 CD Roms
for education, made over a dozen TV commercials,
traveled to Brussels for the DVD consortium in '95,
and now produce DVDs and CDs for the band
- residential and commercial electrician
- pilot
- free-lance computer programmer (7 languages)
- taught Photoshop at the Scottsdale Senior Center
- touch healing (still do this occasionally)
- house refurbishing (tile, plumbing, electric, roof, etc)
- home-school teacher (4th thru 10th grade so far)
- graphic artist (web pages, business cards, etc.)
- lecturer on the Constitution
- internet radio personality
Doing these things gave me the skills and problem-solving insight to keep the show going without a crew of 10. Now, Carla and Jess are learning the many facets of a rock show and it helps immensely. Our set-up time has gone from 8 hours to under 4.
We just played the Marquee Theater in March, and had a piece on FOX 10 news on April 18th on the band. Shows are getting more frequent and more profitable. (You can find it on youTube)
I'm realizing my life's dream. How are you doing?
