Michael's Story
I was raised in southwest Portland
I am writing a book on African Americans who lived on the southwest side of Portland, Oregon from 1950 to 1970 and in the state of Alabama who worked on the railroad or in a steel plant for Birmingham steel.
I am intrested in anyone who took pictures at brown studio from 1940-1970 in Birmingham, Alabama or live in Thomas, East Thomas or Finley areas.
I finished my PhD at the University of Oregon and graduated from Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama.

Failing grade school in southwest Portland from 1955-1960, Terwilliger grade school from 1959-1963 or Lincoln high school in Portland, Oregon from 1964-1966 and at parker high school in Birmingham, Alabama from 1966 to 1967 (12K) in Birmingham, Alabama.
