Michael's Story
Where to start.... US Army, England for 9 years, then a long walkabout around the world. I lived for a time in Kenya, Nepal, India (Goa), Thailand, Italy, and France (actually almost joined the FFL one night when I'd had a bit too much to drink). Married twice with no regrets, married to the current wife for 13 almost 14 years now.
I've spent most of my adult life living abroad. Somewhere along the way I got addicted to whitewater kayaking, and when I say addicted, I mean just that. It is my primary passion, my reason for being, and a lifestyle.

ust have passed it along in my genetic makeup, now my 8 yr old son has the same passion. I stuck him in his first boat when he was 3-1/2 (that makes soccer moms cringe).
Now that I am over 50, I hit it just as hard. I spend a lot of time chasing the young grasshopper down the river coaching him.
If any of you all ever come up to GoPro Mountain Games or FibArk, look for me and my monkey and say hello. Somewhere in that background noise will be my wife, Gina giving me the stare, making sure I know to keep him safe while he throws down before the crowds.
