Michael's Story
Life
After graduating high school I left home, married and raised three boys to manhood. I went into construction and then started college in 1988. I graduated in 1995 with a BFA in Illustration and Graphic Design. I am now a freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator working from my home in Overland Park, KS.
On May 23, 2005, my wife of 33 years, B.J. was killed in a head on collision with a pick up truck just a few blocks from the home we shared for 10 years in Lecompton, KS. Soon after I went on Match.com and met Christina Means. We emailed, talked for hours on the phone, and dated. In other words we acted like teenagers. After 12 weeks I asked her to marry me and she said yes. We wed on Sept. 2, 2006 in Kansas City, MO. We are now living in a new home in Overland Park, KS with our dog, Tova. We are very, very happy. We now have eight grandkids with one on the way.
School
I would have to say that Donald P. Seymour was my favorite teacher. We still stay in contact by Christmas card every year. He taught me how to question and think. Something that isn't taught much now. For that I am eternally grateful.
