Michael J.'s Story
1. US Army 67-73 (1 year in SC 2 in FRG, 3 reserve).
2. Married in 1968 (still married, same girl).
3. 5 children (4 girls 1 boy) all grown now.
4. 6 grandkids (5 girls 1 boy). Must be something in the water.
5. Last worked for Shaw's Supermarkets (78-09) 30 years and 3 months. Laid off 01/09.
6. Sick of the workday rat race, doing early retirement in 01/10.
7. Lots of missed roses to smell.
8. Working part time at Walmart 10/2010.
9. Oldest daughter Melissa (age 42) passed away 10/21...Expand for more
/2011. Heartbroken, how will we carry on.
10. New granddaughter expected mid-August (from youngest daughter).
11. Aug 2012 Granddaughter #6 arrived on time, beautiful and healthy.
12. July 2013,youngest daughter and family moved to Colorado.
13. Only son getting married in St Louis in October.
14. Dec 2013 3rd Christmas without Melissa and youngest and family in Colorado (missing 3 grandkids) not a good time of year.
15. 10/21/14- third anniversary of Melissa's passing - very sad day.
