Michael's Story

Life Well, life is a funny thing. I was married back in 1992 and have a beautiful daughter, Alyssa, who was born Aug 11, 1992. After a short marriage I was divorced while in the military. Coming back to Washington was probably the hardest thing I ever had to do. My daughter was with her mom in Minnesota and I pushed to use my experience here in WA. It was many years later before I could even think of getting married again after knowing how upset I made people. But I did finally, to my beautiful wife Linda in March of 2002. One year later we bought a house and July 28, 2003 we had a beautiful little girl named Amanda. I guess I am destined to have girls....LOL. Alyssa has blonde hair and blue eyes which takes after both her mother and I. Amanda has blonde hair and brown eyes which the eyes takes after her mom. I have had close friends of mine lost to many different things. Drugs, drunk drivers, and the occasional stupidity. I try to live each day without stress and be nice to everyone, I know it can be hard these days though............Good old road rage can get the best of anyone. LOL. We are dealing with my brother having cancer right now and him going through therapy for that.........sort of looks like MR. Clean without the muscles. LMAO....or Lex Luthor of the show Smallville. Right after my wife Linda and I were married we...Expand for more
lost all of my grandparents within 3 months and a great uncle. At least we were able to see them on our wedding day. Age does creep up on people. Life just keeps going on. School Well, I dont' have alot to say about school other than I do wish I had applied myself more back then. Not doing so then and challenging myself then has made now even more challenging, reason being, things are too easy at many times for me to do, such as work tasks and jobs. Trying to challenge my brain power, so to speak has been interesting. I love hard tasks and challenges now more than ever it seems. Perhaps something in the future will turn up in what I may really enjoy to do. Military I was stationed at Grand Forks, ND for 4 cold years in the Airforce. During my tour I noticed a change in myself and a certain respect for our country and the ways we defend it. I did serve during Desert Shield/ Storm and can only say that it was an experience. I was a refueler and cyrogenics facility operator. Liquid nitrogen and oxygen are in deed very cold and dangerous. I did have other duty assignments outside of Grand Forks but still based from there. The winters are harsh and the summers boiling... down to -92 below with a 30 mph windchill factor and 100+ in the summers. Still, my overall time served was well worth the weather and dicipline I went through.
