Michael's Story

Life HIGH SCHOOL RECAP: I was a dork. The end. I wish I had interacted with more people, but "Hey, real dorks don't drink, date, or do anything interesting." Anyway, that came later. POST HIGH SCHOOL RECAP: I went to Wabonssee for a few years, then moved onto NIU. When I graduated NIU, Motorola recruited me to come to South Florida. NICE! I lived there for a few years and also went to Florida International University at night for my MBA in International Business. That lead me to obtain my next two targets, which was marry Kim (my wife) and move to China. The family (wife and Tiki our Brittany Spaniel) packed up and moved to China. Wow! China 16 years ago was the wild West! We loved it. We lived in Beijing for a few years. But Motorola finally sent me back to the states. Once I returned to Florida, I remembered how much I really missed the ocean, and how much I didn't want to move back to Chicagoland (Sorry guys! I'd rather live in paradise 365, and have hurricanes a few a days...Expand for more
every few years , than shovel snow.) So we are once again living in South Florida only 10 minutes from the beach. (Boynton Beach. 10 min from the ocean, which is 20 min south of West Palm Becah and 35 min N of Ft Lauderdale) I work as a Finance mgr for Tyco International(no, not the toy company. ;-) This job also takes me around the world frequently for 4 week assignments, so I enjoy the travel. However, I always enjoy coming home to local fun which includes weekends of diving, offshore or flats fishing , heading to Key West for the weekend or just enjoying friends. Post High school was much better than High school ;-) In summary, life is good.
