Michael's Story
Life
So here's what happened to me ... After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1980 I moved to L.A. I spent a couple years there trying to break into the entertainment industry. In 1982 on a lark, I moved to Manhattan and eventually got a job with NBC as a video editor.
In 1987 I married a girl from Iowa who also lived in Manhattan, her name was Joan Hastings. We had an interesting but stormy marriage and divorced four years later, no kids. I eventually became a newswriter at NBC. In...Expand for more
2000 I married a girl I had met at work named Jennifer Hall, originally from Atlanta, she's in advertising. We now have two young kids, Amanda and Chloe, and live in the Prospect Heights area of Brooklyn. I currently Work at CBS News.
Though I'm 50+ it feels as if we're some young couple just starting out in life due to the fact that I have two young kids. I'm not sure why it took me so long to settle down and have kids. But I've always believed there's nothing wrong with a crooked path.
