Michael & Karen's Story

Life Hello, I graduated in 1966 and almost immediately enlisted, serving in Viet Nam as a corpsman and asst patrol leader with USMC force recon. I went on to work for 30 years in emergency medical services, picking up four college degrees and dividing my time between clinical medicine, system development, and teaching and administration. I am now retired secondary to a degenerative neurological illness, but that has been a blessing as I was becoming a burn out anyway. I have been married for 20+ years and have three home-schooled children; a 7 year old girl and two boys, 10 and 13. I have forsaken medicine completely, and spend my time in history, philosophy and reformed theology. Thank you Mr. Devers, and Mr. Larrison for your good influence. We live on 5 acres in the middle of nowhere, California and have 18 year old trees that we planted. My movements are somewhat limited, but I have a beautiful, patient wife (who is MUCH YOUNGER,her words). We do occasionally get to travel; Israel and Egypt last year, but in general I prefer time on the northern California coast. Addendum: In 2005 we fled California and now live on 40 acres in the Missouri Ozarks. My children are much happier (and safer), and my horse loving daughter is in heaven. Hard to believe that I am back to raising hay, cows, horses, goats, chickens and moving manure. Also have a big, red ...Expand for more
tractor. Only waited 40 years since the first one. All that college time really paid off. My boys are now 18 and 15, and the princess is twelve+. See pictures attached. My oldest son leaves for College of the Ozarks in Aug, 2009. My wife works less and less as a emergency RN and teaches Latin three mornings a week at Olivia's Christian school. After 40 years of humanist insanity, we have returned to the God who created and redeemed us and are very blessed. I would very much like to hear from anyone I knew in school, particularly those to whom I owe apologies. Love and God bless, Michael Witherow Robertson College After returning from Viet Nam, I steadily attended college for approx 20 years (part-time). I started believing I wanted to be a doctor, but am very glad I did not pursue that. I accumulated an AA degree in time and space, a BA in biology with minor in History, a three year diploma RN, and a masters degree in health services administration. Since dropping out of the accumulating cultural insanity, I have studied extensively in history, philosophy, and orthodox theology. Mainly, I have had to reexamine most of my college education for the errors and political/ philosophical presuppositions foisted upon me as "facts". I am constantly repairing the enormous gaps resulting from dumping all the garbage. It is a lifetime endeavor, and I love it.
