Michael's Story
After graduating from Aquinas, I went to Assumption College in Worcester Mass. for my undergraduate degree and then to the University of Ottawa and Carleton University in Canada for my MA and PhD. I started my career as a faulty member at the University of Ottawa after completing my doctorate and after 3 years joined the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade where I spent 12 years. in the mid 1990s and became Dean of its Telfer School of Business in 2000. In 2012, I was appointed Dean 0f the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, a role that I finished in June of 2022. I am a currently a Director of several Canadian companies and also serve on the Board of Trustees of my undergraduate institution in Massachusetts . I am married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
