I joined the Air Force in'66 because the recruiter said "Their is no AIR FORCE in Vietnam ,don't worry" He lied .I was instructed in weapons delivery systems at Lowery AFB ,did OJT at Tyndall AFB for about ayear ,then off to sunny Viet Nam for a year of loading bombs ,guns and napalm at Phu Cat Air Base ,with the 416th TFS .My fondest service memories are from...Expand for more
that year,don't know why .Not all that clear (cheap beer there ya know).Survived TET 68 and Khe San max effort (worked 7x12till it was over)Have some pix being put on disc .Always looking for other Silver Knights.When I came home I was sent to the airport in Terre Haute IN.,detached from Selfridge afb Detroit .Went to Osan Korea with the 94th fis in 69 for six months
