Michael's Story

Life Graduated from St. Luke's in 1962, went to Holy Ghost Fathers Seminary, stayed 11 years, not ordained, graduated Duquesne University 1971, left seminary in 1973. y , son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter live in the Grand Rapids area, son Joseph lives in New Baltimore and writes for Michigan Catholic, son James lives and works in Ypsilanti. Mike retired after 25 years in Third Circuit Court administration, wife Donna works in vocational rehabilitation.

This is a particularly melancholy Mother's Day. Not only are we celebrating Donna, but her mom, pictured here, would have been 99 years old today. She passed in January of 2006. May she rest in peace.

Tonight marked the 150th anniversary of the nightly processions at Lourdes. We were privileged to be part of it.
What a beautiful place! Lots of people, but still so prayerful. Lourdes certainly lives up to its reputation.
