Michael L's Story
Date: June 1959. Age 17 and my first time to actually leave the state of Michigan, thanks to the 1959 Central High School Senior Trip. I had an opportunity to use my brand new Kodak Instamatic camera with black and white film. It had the capability to take 12 picutres, wow.. I'm posting a few pictures of the NYC Senior Class trip, which was all I could find in my many shoe boxes of photo's taken over the past half century.
I only remember a few of the people in the photos that went on the Senior Trip... Anita, Sharon, Ann, Hattie. We had a great time both on the train and visiting all the major tourist attractions i.e, Empire State Building, Statue Of Liberty, Rockerfeller Center, Harlem and an early evening excursion into Central Park.
Attended (CHS) from 1956 to February 1960. Lettered in Baseball (started at 2nd base my Junior and Senior year).. Lettered in Basketball, started my Senior year. Lettered in football in 1959 as a bench warmer. I think I was the only person to ...Expand for more
letter in all three sports during those four years at CHS.. Sat on the bench for most of the football season however, I did get into one game for a hot minute. It was during the season when only one touchdown was scored during the entire season, I think it was scored by Robert Small.
As a youngster I played sports every day all day. Football, basketball, baseballTetherball, sunup til sundown
Got into a fight on the playground. That person hit me on the arm with a baseball. then he ran. I've been chasing him for a half a century. If I find him , he's in trouble
Have lot's of memories, to many to share. Some good and some not so good.
I always wanted to be a wealthy when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a ambitious idea. As it turns out, they were surprised.

basketball trophy for being the USAF base champs in France in 1966.
My first job was at USAF, where I got paid NOT ENOUGH. What I remember most about it is 5 YEARS IN EUROPE.
