Michael's Story
Life
My wife, Sandi and I, after 8 years in Saudi Arabia decided to quit being targets and bug out of there. Not wanting to experience Calgary/Canadian winters any more and not wanting to practice in the States we elected to bag the whole thing and retired to Mexico. We are living in Puerto Vallarta and grooving on retired life. We spend 8 - 10 months in PV then flee the heat and humidity in the summer and come back to the great white north to visit the kids and friends for a few months.
Between us we have 5 kids all of whom are grown of course. Daughter Nancy married Jason in Puerto Vallarta a year ago. It was a great party as you can see in the Facebook photos. Jason is a fabulous, substantial guy. Athletic, smart, well educated, well employed, owns his own home, very personable, fits this family like a glove. Nancy graduated from U of A last year with a degree in education and was recognised this year with an award from the minister of education as the best first year teacher in Alberta.

She also presents us with a stunning little 10 year old daughter (Kianna) who has completely captured our hearts and a 5 year old son (Kayden) who we don't know very well yet but we've spent time with him and he is a little charmer. Paul, Michelle and Kianna are currently living in a gorgeous condo on the beach here in PUerto Vallarta so we get to see them often.
Matt is sharing a condo in Calgary with Steven. Matt is being flown to London to sing in Trafalgar Square for Canada day and Steven is in the final throws of finishing off the house he has been building for the past 8 months so now he has to decide if he is going to move in or sell it.
Natalie is still living in Vancouver be we are hoping to get her down here to live in the near future. Vamos a ver.
Life is good. We love living in Mexico and love our summers in Canada. We have a new business up and running and we are loving that. We're packing the car as we speak for our drive back to Calgary. Neither Sandi nor I can wait to get on the road. It is a fabulous trip.
