Growing, learning, etc. I look back on how I wrote and thought a few years ago on here and it makes me laugh and smile. I do love me. Truckin' like the Doo-dah man... I was born in Valencia, L.A. California till I was 3 or 4, than moved to Cortez Colorodo till I was like 6 or 7, then to Jacksonville N.C. when I was 7 to maybe 8? Then to North Georgia when I was 9. Then back and forth from there to Colorado, to Ga, to Tennessee and then when I was 17 started traveling on my own. I'll be back to write some more later. Not in the memoir writing mood at the moment. Laugh. Okay. I'm back. Here ya go if you feel like gettin' to know meh. Gone are the days we stopped to decide...where we should go. We just ride..... TRAVELS I'm a born traveler. I was born in Valencia (Los Angelas), California and lived there till I was 4. The off to Cortez Colorado and then finally N.C., then Georgia and I've been bouncing around the country since then. I have divorced parents in different states so I with that and being a Military (Marines) brat, I had to travel around a LOT. I've been to very many places in the universe (my mind), as well as on this earth. I've taught English in Hungary, traveled through Slovakia, and Transylvania Romania and I'm having a blast moving through this life and preparing for eternity or the next life or demension or whatever. I have also, for many years, traveled around America following bands like Phish, The Dead, STS9, Widespread Panic and The Disco Biscuits not to mention about every festival under the sun. I've also been a camp councilor helping lead a youth troop through Montana and the Wyoming back country. I moved back to Georgia after my Central European stint. HOBBIES I am music and art, whatever that means. I play saxophone, recorder, guitar, and mandolin. That's what I like to play anyways. Traveling of course. I love to paint (batik, acrylic, pastel), and had my art recently shown, bid on and bought at a recent silent art auction designed to raise money for eclectic, local youth art programs. They even had an original Andy Warhol there! One of the original Marilyn Monroe screen prints:) ...Expand for more
MUSIC I love Phish, STS9, The Dead, The Disco Biscuits, Moe.,The Recipe, Dark Star Orchestra, Yonder Mountain String Band, The String Cheese Incident, Jerry Garcia Band, Merl Saunders, Mike Gordon, Trey Anastasio, Widespread Panic, ETC., especially all the bands that started to emerge in the jam band circuit in the late 90's and early 00's. The Heavier Stuff I played and listened to as a skateboarding youth (before I started listening to the stuff I listen to now thats a little more challenging),are as follows: Korn, The Deftones, Pennywise, Marilyn Manson, Pantera, Slipknot, Staind, Etc. Anything 80's! Ahhh...80's cheese:) RANDOM REGURGITATED WISDOM There really is no "Me and You" or "Us and Them. You and Me and I am You. I'll always be with you. WE are ALL ONE! Until you can love the people your protesting against as much as you love yourself, it wouldn't matter. A little Ram Dass for ya' there. MOVIES Some of my favorite movies are: Zeitgeist, The Abyss, The Truman Show, Anything by Wes Anderson, Tye-Dyed, Around the Fire, The Virgin Spring, The Lost Boys, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, ANYTHING MST3K!, Once, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Most of Tim Burtons stuff, Old Japanese movies like Roshumon, The Seven Samarai and all of Kurusawas old flicks, and many more you would probably find in the Criterian Collection. T.V. As far as T.V. goes: I've been with Dexter and Weeds from the get go. Childrens Hospital is fun, Superjail!, Family Guy, Lost, The Simpsons, South Park and TLC stuff...and of course MST3K! BOOKS I'm an avid reader. Here are just a few of my favorite Authors and books...I guess you'll have to take my word for it: Ecstacy Club by Douglas Rushkoff, Be Here Now By Ram Dass, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, ANYTHING by Stephen King (Especially The Dark Tower series and IT..and The Stand..And Under the Dome),The Drifters by James A. Michner RANDOM STUFF ABOUT MY CHARACTER I text everything out to the 'T'. I don't half ass it. It's just not in my nature. I'll eat anything food wise. There's nothing I really don't like. Mitch Hedburg is still the man as far as comedians go. He's pretty hard to beat in the world of stand up. Him and Bill Hicks. I like going to shows and taking off for like a month and following Phish or going 'Further' or Widespread Panic tour around the country and selling my wares or something. I also like Death Cab for Cutey, Modest Mouse, Thursday, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Shins, Against Me, Bucket Flush, Cursive, Elliot Smith, The Cure, Atreyu as newer, alternative main stream stuff. Not really into too much I hear on the radio these days. I'm really into Dubstep now and progressive beats and am learing the fundementals of spinning records, touch pads and incorporating that in with guitar and my laptop:):run: H-ighly I-ntelligent P-erson P-ursuing I-nsight E-verlasting".
