Michael's Story
Life
Well, I graduated from Notre Dame in 1967 (barely); spent 4 years in the US Air Force; got lucky, because I didn't go to Viet Nam. Married a lovely woman (she was a USAF Airman WAF) - we divorced 13 yrs later - my fault; After Air Force, we lived in Tampa-St. Pete for a year, then moved to northern California in 1972, moved to South Dakota in May of 2005.
We have a child, 31 yrs old. He is currently employed at a Seven-11. He did some time in a county jail a couple of years ago - made some threatening phone calls after his girlfriend had been mistreated, apparently. I think he learned his lesson while in jail.
I worked as an accountant/tax preparer for about 7 yrs; didn't like this kind of work. Worked as a nurse asst. for 2 yrs, and as a hospital-clinic mailroom stock clerk about 5 years. Started a business about 12 yrs ago - a "handyman service." A client hired me full time about 12 yrs ago, and I'm still working there as a maintenance mechanic (for a printer mfg. co.) red, working 32 hrs/wk as a janitor for an 80-unit apt. complex (HUD).

If it weren't for basketball, I wonder if I would have made it - without getting into some serious trouble or something.
Sister Valaria certainly was a wonderful teacher, especially Algebra and History.
