Michael's Story
Let's see...How does one sum up their life in 20,000 spaces or less...LOL.
After leaving RVR back in '78 I bounced back and forth between Ontario and Quebec for the next few years working up to threee jobs at a time and having a blast.
When it came time to start thinking about a career instead of just a job, I looked to the skys for the answer...and voila!
I went to B.C for a couple of years to complete my commercial, multi, IFR and the next thing you know I was now able to start my path.
Working in some of the remotest places in Canada, my travels took me to some really crazy places.
Places like Attawapiskat, Webequie, Pikangikum.
I've been to Gods Lake, Gods River and Gods Lake Narrows. Was even held hostage in a place called Pukinuwagan (not sure if I spelt that one right)
I've been north of seventy (70) but only spent the night as far north as Broughton Island (just north of Auyuittuq National Park on the northeasten part of Baffin Island) and Cambridge Bay (on Victoria Island)
To date, that is still the farthest north I have been. My expanse now streatches as far west as Victoria, B.C. as far east as St. John's, NFL and as far south as Caracas, Venezuela.
I should at this point clarify that these are currently the limits I have been to...for work!
I have been fortunate to have been employed (as a career) by Bearskin Airlines, Air Muskoka, Ministic Air, Air Ontario (now part of Jazz) and am now employed by Air Canada.

oosing a career that has travel as the company perk can come in very handy as we (my wife and I) LOVE to travel
Which brings me to my lovely wife...Kathy.
Kathy and I met while I was living in Winnipeg back in '94 and have been married since 2001..
Kathy works in the nursing department at Bow Valley College, here in Calgary.
Kathy also brought into the clan, a son from a previous marrage, and Jeremy and his wife (Dawn) live in Starbuck, MB with their son John. (What a monkey!) and daughter Brook (what a cutie)
Kathy and I currently park ourselves in Calgary. We enjoy traveling all over the world. In fact, we just came back from a 20 day African Safari back in May.
We started in London for a couple of days and then on to Nairobi. We then traveled south into Tanzania, past Mt. Jilimanjaro and spent our first night in Arusha.
Most of our time, however, was spent in the Ngorongoro Crater and on (and over via hot air ballon) the plains of the Serengeti.
What can one say....there is not enought space.
I took close to nine (9) hours of High Def film and close to 1200 pictures. (Kathy started calling me fuji)
Ok, I'm rambling.
Anywho,
If anyone is in the area...look me up.
I can also suggest a few places if you are look for a place to travel.
Take Care and thanks for taking a peek.
Mike
