After graduating from Baker Univ. with BS in Chemistry and Math with minor in Biology I went to Grad. School at K.U. After that I joined the Navy in 1973 and found my place there. Was a corpsman, laboratory technologist and teacher for 6+ years, then Laboratory and Blood Bank officer in Medical Service Corps until I retired in 1996. When I retired from Navy, I truly RETIRED!! Lived in 29 Palms, Ca until early 2005 when I moved here to Texas hill country where life is slow and prices low. In Navy at different times I lived / was temporarily assigned to such places as San Diego (over 15 years), Oceanside, CA, 29 Palms CA (3yr), Guam (3 yr), Bethesda, Md / Washington DC (2 yr), Fort Sam Houston, TX, Portsmouth, Va, Oakland, CA, Fort Gordon, GA, Fort Sill, OK, Philippines, Korea, South China Sea, Persian Gulf. I also got to visit such places as Thailand, Australia, Japan, Okinawa, China, Taiwan, various other Pacific Islands and a few other places I have probably forgotten or have tried to forget.
