Lay Preacher Mike On a late summer morning in 2001, Tuesday September 11, an airliner plunged into the ground near Shanksville PA. Several weeks earlier a small group of Elders at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh resolved to begin an outreach at Seven Springs Ski Resort. They agreed to provide condensed Sunday services at the resort. I was one of them and began working on various topics that would deliver a solid message in 15 minutes or less. For starters I picked something easy, the meaning and purpose of human life. My first turn was scheduled for September 16th. As the date approached I had also made some notes about Sarah laughing at the notion she would have a child in her old age when her husband Abram had told her of God’s message.
