Michael's Story
Well as you may know, I live in Everett, WA. Been doing my best to convince the wife into moving to Maui. She is down with it, in about 10 years.
My son, who is in the picture with me, is into deep sea welding. He just graduated this past October from DIT, here in the Seattle area. DIT is considered the best in the country. DIT = Diving Institute of Technology. I believe he is now in Gulf working. Have not heard from him, so I guess he is out on a barge.
I am working with one of the top ten companies here the Puget Sound area. However, if I had it my way, I would be working for DynCorp over in the Middle East as a contract worker for the military. The wife says she does not want me to come home in a bag. I am very much driven by money, though I do love life.
My life has been lived hard and strong. It's not where you end the journey, but the journey itself which makes it all worth while. I do not like to take the well beaten path, but the trails which few, if any, take.
Photography is my major hobby. Digital is okay, but 35MM and medium format is by far the best. I am not into taking pics of paople, they are a dime a dozen. Natu...Expand for more
re is my landscape. I used to belong to the Photographic Society of the Sierra Club in San Diego, but do not believe in what other's teach or preach as to what someone should take pictures of. I have been asked to submit some of my frames in a professional manner.
Travelling throughout the globe has been wonderful. It was better when there was less chaos as there is now. I can remember the only time when I was subjected to any violence was when I was in London, 1977 I believe, and there was a bomb blast just around the corner from where I was standing. Now you have to keep in mind I was into explosives while I was in the military so this was nothing new, other than it was in the city.
As the years have gone by, I guess I have become more timid. Something which I rather not admit. I am not into blowing things up as I was when I was younger.
Oh and by the way you guys, never let a woman talk you into getting a vascetomy reversed. YIKES!!!!!!!! It was not fun. AT ALL. Yes, my wife and I are trying to start a family. She is roughly 12 years younger than I am. What can I say?
