Michael's Story
Just a short bit.Un-edited.Will update later.Left school early.Runaway, is what I was really. Found job in Kitchener for winter, putting heels on ladies shoes in Shoe factory,(Knectals in Kitchener). Spring, a friend and I hitch-hiked west. Stayed in Winnepeg first winter, Too young for regular job, so worked for daily manpower, towitt(unloading raw bales of cowhides from frieght cars). Built up wee bit of muscle,grew a few inches and put on few pounds.Met some intesting people.Short version,one was Winnepeg's police chief.He set me up with a chance to work on CPR. So, that summer I could be found swinging a sledge during day. I always wanted to be a pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right.I ended up jumping out of perfectly good aircraft,mainly because our gov . thought getting me where the trouble was, would be much quicker that way. But due to poor paper trail. I was washed out and had to start over again. Seemed at the time my number one job title by end of my manner careers would be , "Jack-of-all-trades,Master of none", And folks, at 60 + .. that is my story. Some day, if asked, I might fill in the gaps. The End..!
