Michael's Story
Life
I live in the sleepy town of White Rock and have for the last few years where I have studied nlp(neuro-linguistic programming).NLP is the study of how successful people encode and/or perhaps decode their subjective experience.
Most people know at some level that their subjective experience affects our behaviours such as learning, how we communicate etc.
In 2003 I decided to go to Erickson College to take the one year solution focused coaching program in which I learned nlp,hypnosis, solution focused coaching and accelerated learning to which I got certified so far as a nlp practitioner/master practitioner, public speaker.
In my opinion these cerificates are just decoration. The real test is how well do I use these technologies to become successful.
More recently with the interest in the TV show "The Apprentice". I have studied Donald Trump and his evaluations on business and life. To see how someone who started out with little money and how they grew their fortunes past what most people would consider possible is something I think is important.
Some goals of my are of mine to write an essay on Donald Trump using NLP to break down how he evalutes certain distinct situations. I also want to start implementing some of these distinctions in my goal to invest in Bellingham, Washingtons real estate market.
As some of you may know back in the eighties I was a Baptist. A few churches later I have become Russian Orthodox. Even though no russian is spoken in the church service. My church over the past decade has fanned an interest in the early church fathers and their evalutions. This interest has led to study hesychasm. Even though I found it too severe for me, I do look at the hesychast fathers as ideals of what a christian should be.
I have in the last decade studied general business, sales and marketing, investing as well fencing, jujitsu, jeet kune do, tai chi and chi kung.

School
The only regrets I have are just being to shy and self concious, not really, truly appreciating what school could have been if I had played my cards right. I am way more outgoing now and goal oriented.
One more regret I have is cause of the behaviours I mentioned earlier are NOT asking Jessica Rosman out at the school dance.
If I went back and could coach myself I would list all the good things I could if I used school as a dress rehearsal for life. I would told of how and when to network, how to develop a gregorious attitude, how to flirt, be self-confident and get known for something I wanted to be.
Workplace
In the New Year I will be starting my coaching practice. It is my passion to help those who need to uncover some passion of a long time ago and mix it up the personal change technologies of nlp, solution focused technologies and business sense to ignite it into a wldfire that just takes off.
In my studies I have found people who love what they do are more successful than those who only just react to what is needed. Take for instance John D. Rockefeller who started with only the equivalent of $36,000 and turned it into billions of dollars years later.
Or what about Bruce Lee who despite being extremely near sighted, weak and had one foot, an inch smaller than the other. Despite all this Bruce Lee became one of the strongest and fastest martial artists of all time.
People have through time succeeded despite what was against them. What about us who deal with our family, friends and associates. Can we still try to get those dreams back from the past?
