Michael's Story
Well, let's see. Graduated from Elma High School a day after I turned 18. After Graduation my dad drafted me. Was an MP in Mannheim, Germany. Saw Vienna (the Danube is not blue!). Visited Italy, climbed the leaning tower. Honorably discharged December 76. Did a couple years of electronics school at Clover Park and a couple more at Olympic College in Bremerton. Have been an Electronics Technician for 23 years. The last 17 has been for the Navy (as a civilian) in Keyport, WA. Have yet to get married but have a beautiful daughter who is very much into Ballet and has been on the Honor Roll since about the 5th grade. She's a Junior this year at Bremerton High. I've been in the quiet little town of Keyport for 14 years. Love it here.
So now I guess it's time to update this story. Daughter now has a Bachelor's Degree. I have less than 5 months left before I retire. Was on the Council for about 8 years for the Snohomish Tribe of Indians. 56 years single. (I'm thinking it...Expand for more

Past due for another update. Still in Keyport (32 years now). A Son-in-Law has joined the tree. And now Medicare has become a part of my life! The summer of 2019 brought more gray hair. 50 years prior we moved out of Seattle. During my very first trip to Brooklyn, we watched the moon landing in the superintendent's house. A few weeks later we were residents. So last summer after visiting the Apollo exhibit at the Museum of Flight, I took a drive back to NRHS. Wow! Met some of the staff and had a good look around. Still one of my favorite places in the world.
And now, 2023 is about to leave us. None too soon. I had been so looking forward to a 50 year reunion. But this was an awful year. After we all made it through the Pandemic OK, we've just lost 6 family members in 9 months. Including sister Patty in January and Mom in June. Still trying to process this as well as closing out those 2 estates. I can only hope that 2024 is better than before.
