Michael's Story
Education - After graduating Roosevelt, graduated Northeastern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1980. Took the long road to my BS - Manhattan College, then Westchester Community College, and 4 co-op assignments working for Bechtel Power Corporation. Completed my MBA in 2008, from Northern Illinois university ( never to old to go back to school!)
Joined GE's Nuclear Energy group in June 1980, and bounced around the country for awhile.
Married Susan Walker, of Yonkers in June 1983, and moved to Long Island for a few years - worked on the ill-fated Shoreham Nuclear Power Station.
Lived 5 years outside of Philly, in Exton/Downingtown, PA, then 10 years outside of Boston, in Duxbury, MA, and then 10 years and counting outside of Chicago, in Napervil...Expand for more

Have 3 children - David born in 1985, Jennifer born in 1987, and Allison born in 1989. All three have attended my alma Mater - Northeastern University.
Career - after 20 years as a nuclear engineer in various positions, moved to Power Generation Sales, and most recently, working for GE's Water group in Global Marketing. 29 year career with GE. Decided to make a change this year, 2009, and accepted a position as VP - Business Development , for Babcock and Wilcox, this past August. I am responsible for building a new business for small nuclear plants, in response to all the concern about CO2 and global warming.
Still get back to Yonkers every now and then - family and friends are still in the area. Lots has changed, but Carlos Pizza is still in business!!!
