Michael's Story
Life
With my 21 year old daughter nearly completing her 3rd year in the US Army, me and my dogs (Herky and Rizzo) have slowed down the pace of life considerably. For example, I can remember conversations with my daughter about getting that Harley at age 50, and exploring the open road. But now that I've arrived at that age a few days ago. I seemed to have settled for a Ford Explorer Sport Trac SUV. And eventhough it is a 4X4, the closest I'll come to "4-wheeling" will be driving to a remote fishing location. Life has been kind, I plan on enjoying it for a few more years.
Workplace
After 22 years of fait...Expand for more
hful service to this great nation in the US Air Force, I found myself starting all over again. I struggled for a while with various odd occupations, only to return to something near and dear to my heart. The defense of my country. This time from the home front. I managed to mesh my college training in secondary education with military training of current and potential treats to become a certfied instructor for the Department of Homeland Security. Its really satifying to be able to not only continue to serve in the defense this nation, but to teach other to do the same...it does'nt get any better than that.
