Michael's Story
Life
Greetings.
When you get past the grade school era, there are many curves and straights on the highway of life.
My road to where I am was definately decided in 1974. It was eighth grade at Washington Junior High School. MECC (Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium) had contracted with Sperry Corp. for computing power. Not surprising that Sperry at that time, was just north of MECC, headquartered in Lauderdale, MN.
Control Data was a major player in Minnesota as well as that time.

My current profession is an "Internet Architect" at a top 10 Financial Services company.
Technology has raced ahead in a space I knew would be some day, and is now realized.
Technology for technologies sake, isn't that great of a deal.
If it doesn't become like an appliance and mainstream with the vast major of folks out there, then what is the acceptance and adopting of this technology going to look like?
We can only guess. And a guess, is as good as a dice roll in gambling. You play with the odds.
