Michael's Story
Life
I started my career working for the City of Kansas City, Mo in the Health and Public Works Department for just over 5 years. I made many friends while working ther including Jim and Marcia Reagan and my supervisor Larry Strain later a commander in the Commissioned Corp of f the US Public Health Service. It was while working at the City of Kansas City that I met the love of my life. I think of her even today..
I left the city in temporarily in 1975 to join the Air Force Reserves, something that I had wanted to do even as a young child. In 1979 I left for US Air Force officer's training school After spending 23 years of the best imaginable years of my life in the Air Force and being stationed in places like Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands I retired in 1998. I entered private industry as a government consultant and change management consultant. I have lived in New York, Arizona, and lastly in Virginia just outside Washington DC. I have changed professions and companies and have accepted a position as a project manager in a program managed by the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. It is my first sojourne into the ground radar systems. Later in 2005 because of an injury I sustained in the Air Force, I have become disabled and I am now on Social Security and listed as 100% disabled by the Veterans Administration.
While in the Air Force, I traveled extensively in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. I have also visited Ukraine, Russia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Korea, and the Philippines.

as re-appointed to the Certification's Committee of the International Society of Logistics Engineers. At the same time, I have accepted an adjunct professorship in logistics here in the Washington DC area. I taught there from 2002 until 2005 when I moved back to the Kansas City area.
In December 2003 I married a wonderful woman. After knowing Aleksandra, a Russian woman, for 2 years we married. She has proven that there is someone out there for everyone. After being married for 22 years to the same woman then divorcing, I found out how wonderful true love can be.
Last summer my wife and I traveled to the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary. We collect high end art and are on the VIP list of collectors at a major art gallery. We have traveled with them to the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, and will be traveling to the Panama Canal with them.
After getting off to a rocky start, I managed to get a bachelor's degree from Park University in Public Administration, a masters in sociology from Michigan State University, and a doctorate in business and three certificates in advanced graduate studies in program management from the Defense Systems Management College, Military Science from the Marine Corps Institute, and one in air power employment from. the Air University Air Command and Staff College. After joining the Air Force, it seems that I was constantly in school. Recently I started another master's degree in history.
I recently had a book published on the US Constitution. I am now working on a book on the Battle of Midway Island.
