Michael's Story

I've been married for 30+ years to Marsha Berger, (Jeff's younger sister). I have 2 children, Tiffany 29 and Matthew 27. 3 Grand children, Christina(12), Jerimiah(9)[I call him Jerry much to the dissapointment of my Daughter] and Michael(8). I left High School to join the US Army. After the military, I worked several fill in jobs until I landed at American Speedy Printing, (became Allegra Print&Imaging in 2000) in 1986. I became Production Manager in 1993 and stayed there until August of 2010 when the owner closed the doors. I also spent several years playing live music with local bands. Overlapping Allegra, I worked security for Securitas Security Services INC. I was 2nd shift Security Supervisor at ISE. That position ended in March 2011. I now own my own business, American Patriot Tickets. As for high school, let me share some distinct memories. Angela Jefferson, sweetest girlfriend I ever had. Laurie Jansen, prettiest girlfriend I NEVER HAD! Terry Stilley and Fred Brewer, best teachers I ever had. Tyrone Hall, best damned friend I ever had, (RIP my friend). Rob Rabe, best damn classmate I ever had! Mark Albrecht, nicest, most decent person I knew in high school. Girls I dated, (not in this order): Debbie Ralston (went steady for a month), Jody Winthrop (went to 1 movie), Sharon Sedlak (Sha Na Na concert at Elkhorn County fair), Pam Bogess (went steady until I was tossed aside for a prison pen pal), Holly Plonsky, (on again off again relationship [RIP sweetie...Expand for more
]), Jodi Amos (babysat 2 times with her), Karen Kajune, (Ty and I called her mother "The Grizzly Bear"), and Angela Jefferson, my high school sweetheart. Girls I wanted to date, but never asked out due to fear, them laughing at me, or, hanging up on me. Sue Bevry, (Damn she was cute!) Laurie Jansen, (I called her immediately after the Senior Talent Show, asked her out on a date and she said no and to never call her again), Missy Johnson, (I just never had the guts to ask), Sue Massoti, (she was a Senior when I was a Junior. We worked at Deluca's Pizza together in Sturtevant. Yep...she's the one who laughed.), and last, Diane Rank, (I wasn't in her league.) Finally, I've read some of the other stories here. I believe, (due to the 20th reunion booklet handed out), I have been married longer than anyone else listed. Will be 31 years November 29th. Anyone who has been married for more than 20 years and says they are happily married should be considered suspect. I love my wife. I wouldn't leave her for anything. That said, happily married. Lord NO!! What keeps our marriage together is seperate TV's, acceptance of each others bodily noises, and the time tested ability to know when to be together and when to be apart. Takes time and effort. She breaks it, I fix it. She cooks it, I eat it. She hogs the bed, I sleep in the recliner. I hog the bed, I sleep in the recliner. And if we fart, belch, or, sneeze, we say, "God Bless You Honey." to each other. That is true love.
