Michael's Story
I was a police officer in Texas. I married a young lady from Magnolia, she had a son, and we had a daughter together.* I was offered a job at Ford Motor Company in Wayne, Michigan in October, 1994. I moved to Detroit, Michigan, and my wife did not follow me. We divorced soon after I moved to Michigan.* I was working for the Ford Motor Company, at Michigan Truck Plant. Michigan Truck was where the Ford Bronco was built from 1964, we also built the F-150. We then changed over to build the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. * I was working 7 days a week in the mid 90's when the economy and gas prices were better. The grind of the assembly line was difficult, but it payed well...or so I thought.* I met another wonderful woman from Dearborn, Michigan. We married in May, 1998. iplash like injury to my cervical spine. Less than a month later I had the first of three surgeries to my spine. After the surgeries, I have 4 screws, a plate and a spacer on the front of my cervical spine. I have 8 screws and 2 rods holding 5 of my 7 cervical vertebrae together. Then the last surgery on Holloween 2007, I have 4 screws, 2 rods and another piece of metal separating the rods. Needless to say...I am screwed for life...LOL. I will post a picture of my x-ray of my neck...it looks really cool.* I am medically retired now, my wife and I reside in Romulus, Michigan. We are very happy together.
My daughter still lives in Texas. I see her as often as I am able. My step son is a proud father of a little girl...a grandfather at 38, WOW, he is also a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. He will be a Captain by his 21st birthday.* Believe it or not...this is just the tip of the ice burg of the things I have done since High School.
