Michael's Story

Life First, in my Lamar days I went by my nickname Mickey, which some folks still use. I left Lamar in 1972 to join the Navy where I was a radioman at Naval Security Group Northwest in Virginia. During that time I was deployed to Egypt in Operation Nimbus Star/Nimbus Moon, which was an operation to get the Suez Canal working again. There were other places but I still don't get to discuss them. After the Navy I returned to Lamar for a while, I graduated from Lamar Community College in June 76 then headed to Oklahoma. For several years I worked a bit and went to university a bit. In 1985 I was married to Susan O'Connor in Salt Lake City, Utah and we lived in San Antonio, TX while I finished up my university work. Susan was a nurse in the US Air Force in San Antonio. I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Scien...Expand for more
ce from the University of Texas in 1987 (don't do the math between when I graduated from LCC and finally got my BS.... it is a long story) and then we moved to Salt Lake City where we have lived every since. I have worked for several computer companies in Salt Lake since that time. In 2000 my colleague and I decided we had a good idea for a company and we approached several venture capital types. A couple of them decided that in fact we did have a good idea and our company, Senforce Technologies, was funded. Back in those days it was called Rappore but that name went away a couple of years ago. I am the chief architect, which means I am responsible for putting together the technology roadmap and matching the technology to what our customers are asking for. It is a fun job. That's a life so far! Cheers, Mickey Wright
