Michael's Story
Life
In 2004 I find myself living in Chesapeake, Virginia with my beautiful wife Brandy, our 3 year old daughter Hannah, and our newborn son Riley. Brandy and I wed in 1999 in Streamwood, Illinois. We met while both of us were working for Household International, in our Las Vegas, Nevada location. Brandy was born at the Great Lakes Naval Station. She has lived all over the country, as her Father served 20 years in the Navy. She spent most of her life living in Virginia, which is why we moved here shortly after our wedding. She was her High School Class Valedictorian and graduated from Old Dominion University with honors. Meeting her was the best thing that ever happened to me...Only equalled by the birth of our children. Hannah is by far the most beautiful little girl in the world. I know most of you out there are parents, and can relate to me when I make that statement. Having her in my life has brought out so many wonderful things it is incredible. In September we gave birth to our son Riley. We are extremely blessed that God gave us such beautiful children.
Brandy and I moved into our first (and current) home in July 2000. We had a house built on an acre and a quarter lot, just on the edge of the country. Half of our back yard is protected land, so we cannot tear down any of the trees on it. We have a small creek that runs through the back, and we love looking out our back windows to see nothing but nature. We have seen a buch of animals come through our back yard, including: deer, rabbits, squirrels, a red fox, numerous types of birds, and a groundhog Hannah named "Billy". We (and Hannah) get a kick out of watching him climb up the bank of the creek and eat the grass in our back yard for his breakfast.
Getting back to our daughter Hannah...We welcomed her into the world on 9/9/01. We were so excited about her arrival. The reality of being parents set in quickly, as the day we took her home from the hospital is when the tragic events of 9/11 occurred. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster!!! Hannah is the apple of our eye, her grandparent's too. We welcomed Riley into the world on 9/7/04. Brandy's parents moved back to this area in 2001 so they could be near their 2 latest grandchildren as they grow up. Brandy's Sister and her family moved here from Boston in 2002. It is nice to have a small group of family out here with us.
Unfortunately my Mother did not get a chance to meet Hannah as we lost her to Cancer exactly 1 month before Hannah was born. To honor my Mother, we gave Hannah my Mom's first name (Camille) as her middle name. While my Mom never did get a chance to meet her in person, I know that she is looking over us and watching out for Hannah form above!!!
My Father retired form his printing job in 2001, and is living in Oswego, Illinois (just south of Aurora). My sister Lori married in 1998 and is living in San Antonio, Texas with her Husband Craig and their daughters Madison(3) and Morgan (1). My little sister Alex...Expand for more
andra is 12 years old. She lives in the same house I grew up in, and is attending the same Jr. High School as I did.
I'm not sure how many of you read all of this, but I am glad you did. While I was not one of the most popular kids in High School, I look back upon the years spent with all of you with great joy. I hope to be able to share stories with some of you in the near future. Take care and God Bless!!!

P.S. If you were someone who I was friends with during High School, or anybody from my Jr. High School, it would be nice to hear from you. Please take a few moments to read the rest of my Biographies.
School
I really enjoyed all of the people I went to school with from Kindergarden through 8th grade. You are the people I grew up with. Not to discount my experiences in High School, however the ones that mean more to me are the experiences I had during Jr. High School. There were only about 50 or so of us, and we went through a lot together.
My very best friends are the freinds I brought with me from Jr. High Schooll into High School... And they continue to be my closest friends 20 years later.
The guys from Niles are the best!!!
For those of you who I befriended in High School and did not keep in touch with, I would like to hear from you if interested. There are quite a few of you who I shared some great times with as well. I'm just sorry we were not able to keep up after we graduated.
High School was a lot of fun...I can honestly say that. I don't believe there was one single person who I disliked coming out of it...Although I probably did not know all 600 of you.
I hope your memories of High School were as good as mine...Here's to the the Niles West Class of 1984 and to the Niles Elementary Jr. High Class of 1980!!!

1996-Present...Unit Manager
Household has been a great employer to me. Not only do they provide excellent working conditions...their benefits are unmatched anywhere else. Plus, it was at my place of employment where I met my wife!!!
Household has been through some rough times recently, however they always take care of their best employees. A year and a half ago we were bought out by HSBC, which is a global bank headquartered in London. While the verdict is out as far as how things might change...so far things are good. They seem to have the same caring for their employees as Household does...Plus the fact I now work for the 2nd largest banking institution in the world (behind Citibank)...Which means ample opportunities world wide if I so choose to pursue.
