Michael Young:  

i was born in miami and lived at the same place that my grandparents settled in the 1920's. back then they were living in the woods. eventually, they sold their hog farm and dade county built lakeview elementary school on that parcel of land. my parents love me so much that they did everything they could to give me the best that the world had to offer. i was blessed to have attended st. james elementary school in miami, first through eighth grade, from 1968 to 1975. if i could, i would freeze time in that era. i went to monsignor edward pace high school in my freshman and sophomore years, 1976-1977. i moved to sebring in the summer of 1977. i went to sebring high school in my junior and senior years, 1978 -1979. i graduated from sebring high school in 1979. i bounced back and forth between sebring and miami looking for rewarding employment. i moved to miami in 1984 and worked through the international brotherhood of electrical workers union, local 349, as an indoor wireman helper. i was accepted into apprenticeship as a first-year apprentice in the fall of 1985. they didn't play games and didn't cut any slack. that thinned out the herd to only the fittest. i went to work during the day and apprentceship classes at night for four year...Expand for more
