Michele's Story
Decided to leave college after two years to get married (1966). Had four children (boy '68,girl '70, girl '74, boy '76). Lived in North Miami until 1980, when my husband retired. We had purchased a home in Western North Carolina several years prior and decided to make a permanent move. Our oldest son was entering high school and our youngest was three. WOW! Discovered a totally different way of life. We are still living here in Hendersonville. My husband and I now have acquired seven grandchildren ( ages 12-26) and three great grandchildren ( ages 5yrs., 18 mos. and two months). We love, love, love Hooterville (as we call it). my turn to retire will come up; but with raising a husband and numerous offspring there does not seem to be any chance in sight! I wanted to attend the 5oth reunion but the littlest member of our family had already made a previous appointment. Alas, maybe next time. New up-date: As of March,2017 we added a new great grandaughter. Xia . Also celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary. Hooray, we now have a fifth great-grandchild, Born on July 23rd, Layton William, of course he is beautiful! The count rises.....we welcomed Rylan James our 6th great-grandchild born in June. We now await our 7th due this fall. What fun! We now have 24 at our Sunday dinners!!!
