Michele's Story
Life
My husband Lark & myself have been married for 36 years after meeting at Butte High in 1972 .We have 2 grown children, two sons (ages 33 & 27) 4 granchildren. We also have 2 very spoiled Pekingnese & a poodle . We reside in a very small mining town in Southern Arizona. I am currently a homemaker . My husband & myself decided that I would quit working so that we may enjoy our time together now that the kids are all grown .I don't know how long this situation will last because I am not enjoying the homemaker role as much as I thought I would ,I will probably go back to work one day. is usually only twice a year. Lark still has family members there & we both feel that Butte is our hometown even though we have hardly lived there since 1978 .We love almost everything about Butte except the cold winters which are not sure we could survive again after being away from Montana for so many years . We actually enjoy the Arizona sun most of the time & now consider ourselves to be bona-fide Desert Rats.
UPDATE : We actually did move back to Butte for a couple of years while taking care of my elderly parents who have since passed away , however we moved back to AZ because of my husbands job . I will try to spend summers in Butte whenever possible .It will be so nice to escape the 100 degree+ heat here in Arizona.
