Michele's Story
Life
After graduation I attended Kingsborough Community college for 2 semesters, then joined the Navy. After 12.5 years of enlisted service I graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA, and became a commissioned Naval Officer. I have 2 daughters, Ciara and Jaslyn . I am currently stationed in Norfolk, VA serving as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard a Carrier. I get to drive big ships and lead lots of young people for a living and I love every minute of it!!

command. I've completed my Master's degree and looking forward to starting my PhD in 2008. I also get to start a new career track in the Navy, that of a Human Resource Officer, which I am extremely excited about! Happy New Year to all!
Update 03/21/09: I am currently working for the Chief of Naval Operations in DC as a program manager. I was fortunate enough to be selected to participate in the Navy Postgraduate School's EMBA program, which means I have to put my PhD plans on hold for another 2 years, but its free education, so I have zero complaints! :-)
