Michele's Story

Life After graduating from NSHS went to Hawaii for 1st yr college. Graduated from Western New Eng Coll in 1974. Moved to Phila area in 1977-As of 6/2004 have worked for Boeing Helicopters for over 27 yrs. Have lived in Bear, Del. for over 10 yrs now. Avid Nascar fan. Had a scare in Sept 2003- a minor heart attack. So my priorities have really changed. Update-3/2007-Just this past January I celebrated my 30 yrs with the Boeing Company - hard to believe I have been there that long. I'm starting to look into what I want to do once I retire. I'm taking lots of photos now, and giving calendars for gifts. Some are rather good!! I'll be adding them to my pages soon. March31, 2007 update - Got the chance to meet Lisa Scottoline, one of my favorite authors, at a book signing, so I took the opportunity to get my photo taken with her....Expand for more
..She is a fabulous author and a very down to earth individual. Update - 9/6/08 - Planning trip to Disney World this coming Friday (9/12). Still working at Boeing, like what I do, even tho' right now it is rather hectic. Due to the cancellation of a program at our site, back in 2004, there was a scramble to find jobs for several hundred people. I remained in Engr, but moved over to what is known as Central Engr. My job for the last 4 yrs has been coordinating the Sub-contractor hiring for the Dept. The basic premise is when a mgr has a need for temp work they contact me with their description, when they need, and how long. I submit it to the system and wait for the resumes to come in. Because of all the new contracts out there, there are alot of temp positions opening up. So, I'm kept busy and the days pass quickly.
