Michele's Story
I'm sure what would surprise most people is that my life pretty much centers around my faith. I work, but my job is not my life--it is merely a means to provide me with an income. I am Catholic, and Jesus is the center of my life. Many of the answers I would have given to the questions were not even options, like music choice, for example. t like tourist attractions. I would rather watch a sunset over the Grand Canyon or ride horses on a quiet beach than go shopping or party in a club. I know . . . not like the old me. Has my life been perfect? Absolutely not. But through the grace of God, I have learned to enjoy the good times and make it through the bad times. Life happens, and we change--hopefully for the better. The older I get, the more I learn to appreciate and enjoy all the beauty that God has created for us. Oh, I still like to have fun. Laughter is an important part of life, and I laugh a lot. But when it comes to what's important, I know when I die, people won't remember what kind of car I drove, how much money I made, or how big a house I lived in. They will only remember how I treated them. And I've not always treated people very nicely. For any of you who read this, if I ever treated you badly in high school, I hope you will forgive me.
