Michele's Story
Life
A little catch-up on me:
1997- Graduated with many of you for Dodge Co High School
1997-1999- Attended Middle Ga College again with many of you and graduated in 1999 with my Assoc of Science degree. Now it was time to step on out of the big city of Eastman and explore new options.
In 1999, I moved to Augusta, Ga to attend nursing school at the Medical College of Ga and live with Troy (my bro) as he was finishing up dental school. Troy, me, and soon Joey Roberson (boyfriend at that time) lived in harmony until the BIG EVICTION. At this time we all split and went separate ways. I moved into my own apartment and graduated from MCG in 2001 with my BSN. Then took a job at MCG in the Medical/Surgical/Neurosurgical/Cardiac ICU and met many life-long friends which continue to visit and support me today. In 2003, I decided I had enough of Uncle Sam and built my first house (seen in pic) in North Augusta, SC where I lived for two years.
I then decided to jump into the fire in Jan 2005 and apply to LSU in New Orleans to CRNA school but didn't think I would get in!! Much to my suprise two months later I had my house up for sale and was preparing to move to New Orleans. I mean...Expand for more
.... who wouldn't want to live there....it's a fun city. So in July 2005 I moved to New Orleans and yes for the news watchers that was exactly six weeks prior to Hurricane Katrina turning my life upside down in my new life and new city.
Currently, I am living in metro New Orleans attending LSU Health Sciences Center. I graduate in 2008 at which time I will proudly be practicing anesthesia which I must say I love and it is much more exciting than the ICU care. Because of Katrina and it's events on this area and my life... needless to say I will be moving back East after graduation unless I meet the man of my dreams here and he refuses to leave this city. Yes, I am still single, and because of that in quite the minority these days, but I am still looking for the one. At times I think it is hopeless but I am still trying to stay positive that oneday he'll call or we'll meet. Who Knows???
On other notes, I have a cat (Mitzie) that keeps me company. Troy, which some of you may remember, is FINALLY engaged to his girlfriend of 6.5 yrs and living in Memphis TN. He graduates June 5, 2007 and will be an Oral-Maxillary-Facial Surgeon and can then support his little sister..Ha Ha.
