Michelle's Story
Life
No longer the wild party girl, I'm the quiet, working mother of a beautiful, talented 10 year-old girl that wears me out! I also have a great husband who works like a dog. I'm my happiest when I'm at home with my family! I have a great, rewarding career that always leaves me smiling and anticipating the coming day yet charishing every moment I have away from it! I'm a huge Nascar fan, especially Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman. And I still LOVE Mustangs (but had to trade mine in for a Hummer this year :( ), and anyone who knows me isn't suprised by that! After spending almost 10 years working in bars, I'm currently completing my degree in Social Work/Addiction Counseling.
School
School was an absolute nightmare! If I had a chance to do it all again, I'd pass on that chance! I dropped out in 11th grade because just going in that building was horrifying! I could count on one hand the people that I miss. Although, there are so...Expand for more
me people I'd like to run into to let them know what I really thought of them! I was happy to get my GED and bypass that last year and a half! However, now that I'm 34, I do sometimes miss being young and crazy, but I wish I could have done it somewhere else with a better crowd!
College
It took me years to finally go back to school, but now I love it! It's addicting! I'm gonna end up with 10 degrees before I'm 50! I should be a surgeon by now.
Workplace
I was a dancer and then a bartender for almost 10 years. However, after getting married at 21, having a child at 23, and being divorced by 24, I knew that I'd better make a change! Now I'm working in Addicitons and Mental Health with women in a residential treatment program and I couldn't be happier (well maybe if I got paid more, got more vacation time,etc)! I love helping others by sharing my experiences and what I have learned from my mistakes. I count my blessings daily.
