Michelle's Story
*1980 Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, IA,
*1982 Went to Houston Baptist University in Texas.
*1985 Graduated with B.A. Double Major in Sports Media/Communication & Advertising/Marketing.
*1987 Moved to Vancouver, WA to be close to family
*1988 Owned our business, sold it in 1993
*1989 Married to Terry Hairston
*1990 Daughter, Mariah was born
*1993 Worked as Administrator for Investment Brokerage Firm, Specialized in Investment Properties.
*1996 Career as Investment Property Analyst & Auditor for banks & investment clients.
*2001 Son, Elijah was born. Stopped working to raise kids. Life is spent going to kid's events, practices, sports, school, on & on & on.
*2001-2004 Mariah was recruited to play & Terry...Expand for more
to coach an "Extreme" girl's basketball team. Did it for 3 years. Had 3-day tournaments every weekend, year-round, covered 3 states. Exhausting, but paid off; Mariah's high school took 2nd in state Class 4A.
*2009 - Mariah graduated high school with Diploma & College A.A. Degree.
*2009 - Mariah attends The Engineering Honors Program at The University of Washington in Seattle. Double major in Chemical Engineering & BioResource Engineering on a full-ride academic scholarship
*2009 the craziness starts over now with Elijah.....I don't know why I thought having a baby when I was 40 was a good idea......I'm exhausted & desperately in need of sleep.
*2010 Looking forward to Danville High School 30-year class reunion.
