Michelle's Story
School
Oh geesh...I will not reveal my biggest crush...besides, I'm sure they already know or they knew back then! :-) Milo was one of the best experiences I had. I went from a public school with about 1500 kids to Milo with about 200 max kids. It WAS a culture shock but it worked out for the very best. My best memories are of letter writing nights, when we would sit out in the hall and either write letters or read the letters we got from the guys. Or our memorable trip to Puerto Rico with "Ricky, Ricky, Ricky" and "Walk like an Egyptian" and my favorite "Jose Marti"...just a few inside jokes from the trip! Fun was had by all!
Workplace
Geesh...did almost 10 years in the military and went into federal service. what more can I say?! :-)

ld. I went to Basic training at Lackland and ended up staying in San Antonio for my first assignment at Randolph AFB. I then was stationed at Osan AB, Korea in 1992 and then ended up at Bolling AFB, DC until 1997, when I got out. My active duty time was very valuable and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I joined the DC Air National Guard in May of 1988 and am still with them. I got activated right after "9/11" and was on active duty for about 2 years but did not deploy. I was about a week away from deploying with my unit, the 113th Wing, but my name fell off the list and I had to say good-bye to friends and my Guard Family. They all returned safe and sound and was happy to see us greet them with beer and champagne! I am now back to being a "traditional guardsman" and don't mind putting in my one weekend a month to serve my country!
