Michelle's Story
Life
After high school, I spent 5 years on my undergrad degrees (Spanish and Latin American Studies), then one more year for my teaching credential in Spanish. I subbed for a while and taught for 2 years at Champion Christian School (Jr./Sr. high school).
In 1997, I married my wonderful husband Lance. We met in high school when we worked together, but lost contact until Dec. 1995. Our son, Justin, was born 3/10/00 and our daughter Sarah was born 5/14/02. We moved to Sparks, NV in June of 2003. ble computer jobs in Chico. We were sad to leave, but it was a good move for us.
Now, Justin is in 4th grade and Sarah is in 2nd grade. In November I started a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Renown Regional Medical Center here in Reno. It is the Trauma Center for the area. I work in the neuroscience unit with patients recovering from strokes, seizures, head trauma and spinal problems. I love my job! I'm going to school parttime for nursing. Maybe someday I'll become a nurse. I am really enjoying the medical field so I think I'm finally in direction I was meant to be.
