Michelle's Story
Life
Since graduating from SHS, I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in secondary education. I taught math and social studies at the high school level for 5 years before starting my family and becoming a stay at home mom and volunteer queen. I have lived in our house in Aurora for 15 years. I have two children - Austin age 13 and Kit age 10 and a yellow lab named Chief.
I am stil a football fan. I have season tickets for U of I football games and travel back to Champaign for all the home games with my dad, brothers, and son. My blue & orange VW bus that I drove in college...Expand for more
has been recreated for our tailgaiting enjoyment. I did attend the Rose Bowl and enjoyed the experience despite the result of the game.
I resigned from teaching math at Oswego East High School, where I taught for two years. In the interim, I worked as the Director of Administrative Ministries at my church (United Methodist).
Currently I am teaching 7th grade math at Lincoln Junior High in Naperville. I am really enjoying it much more than I ever enjoyed teaching high school. I think middle school is my niche.
