Michelle's Story

Life Since becoming Mrs. Brian Cross so many things have happened, and yet it seems not much has changed. We are coming up on our 3 year anniversary and still going strong. My health hasn't improved too much. The back surgery alliviated a lot of the sypmtoms, but the cause is still there, lurking. Hopefully in the next year things will be different. Currently working as a payroll clerk for a Dairy in the city and Brian has a job he loves in Hunt Valley. So professionally we are doing fine. At home things are a bit of a mess since we are trying to remodel things as much as we can ourselves. That means slow and steady is the pace. Hopefully the first floor will be finished soon and then we are taking a break for a while before tackling the upstairs. School While Hamilton Elementary Middle was my home for a long time(pre-k til 8th grade), oddly enough I don't miss it. Only some of the teachers (Mr. J). It wasn't a very happy place for me to be concidering I was "the" fat girl of the class. People were mean to me for no legitimate reason and so I haven't kept in touch with any classmates from there. gh was great to me. There I met some great friends that I still keep in touch with today. The all girl environment was great for my self esteem, and my grades. While girls will be girls, and there were some fights, mostly everyone got along and made it a more positive place to be. College After high school I attended UMBC where photography was the course I chose. They taught me a lot and I made some good friends anlong the way. I have never been the greatest with keeping in touch, but I try my best and still talk to a few of the wonderful people I met there. Even though I am one class short of my diploma, it was a great time in my life and I wouldn't have traded it for anything Workplace Since graduating from high school I have worked at Food Depot (in many different departments), summer help at Kaye's Pharmacy, had a campus job, taken photographs for Sears, a brief stint at Ames before it closed, and worked for a car dealership(sales appt setter and receptionist). Now i work for Cloverland Green Spring Dairy doing payroll. Finally I have a job where people recognize my potential and allow me opportunities to prove myself!
