Life I was born on 6/8/55 in Salem, OR. Lived in Sublimity, OR and went to grade school at St. Boniface Catholic School until 5th grade. At that time Sublimity was a very small town in which most of the residents were related in one way or another to my family(or so it seemed). My grandfather(James Ripp) was our mail carrier. My family moved to Stayton, OR where I went to St. Mary's Catholic school for the sixth grade and then transferred to Stayton grade school for 7th & 8th grade. My dad's parent owned the Sandberg Grocery in Stayton on 6th street. Their house and store was across the street from St. Mary's School. My dad worked for Pacific Power and was transferred to Kalispell, MT. in 1969. I had a fit as I wanted to stay in Stayton and go to high school with all my friends. BUT.......we moved and I went to high school at Flatheah High from 69-73. I met my first husband(Darrel Mackaman) during my senior year and we were married in April of 73. My husband rejoined the Navy in the spring of 74 and we moved from MT to California(Long Beach & San Diego) and then spent 6 months in Illinois and back to San Diego.
