Michelle's Story
School
I started school at George P. Vanier elementary school in Brossard, Canada, did all 7 years (preschool through 6th grade). My favorite teacher of all, Berthe Dureau unfortunately commited suicide the year after I left the school. She was the best teacher I'd ever had and such a great woman.
I continued to Pierre Brossau junior high where I did 3 more years (pre-scondary-8th grade)
Continued to Antoine Brossard high school for the 9th grade. That summer, my mother married a New Yorker and we moved to New York in August of 1999.
I was skipped from my 9th grade french education to 11th grade American education. Mr Baio wante...Expand for more
d to skip me to 12th right away according to my Canadian score sheet, however felt I would be more comfortable getting familiar with the English school system first. I graduated from Sayville in 2001, as well as from ITC in 2001 with a cosmetology license.
I continued to college that fall of 2001 in Suffolk Community College.
I took a little break after my 4th semester in order to take time planning my wedding and honeymoon and am now returning for my last class, scary Statistics. I will be graduating this May.
I will further my education at Stony Brook, mastering in Psychology and look forward to graduating from there as well.
