Michelle's Story

Life In April 2001, I made a career change. I left the television business after four years of producing daily newscasts. The long days and odd hours of breaking news, especially in a big city like Atlanta, got old. I wanted more "normal" hours, so I became a bookkeeper in an elementary school. I enjoyed the same schedule as teachers and loved having all the holidays and summers off. our local hospital. It's been a wonderful change of pace for me and allows me to have a lot of involvement in the community in which my family lives. Brooks and I moved to Georgia not long after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University in May 1997. My husband is a pilot at Delta Air Lines. We did the "city living" thing for nearly two years before moving to the suburbs. In June 2003, we welcomed our daughter, Anna and our son, Cooper followed in 2007. I'm an alumna of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Brooks is a Pi Kappa Alpha alumnus.
