-THANKS ALL-
Unfortunately for me (at the time), my family moved to South Plainfield during my Jr. year at UHS, taking me away from childhood friends and school acquaintainces. The move was rather traumatic, but soon expanded to new opportunties and social circles. Even still, I managed to keep up with most friends until Sr, year, but lost touch upon entering college. I still have fond memories of earlier years, and the many individuals who are still ever present in my mind.
Looking over the lists of names here, or a yearbook, I can recall so many people (friends, students, teachers, etc.) and specific incidents like yesterday. It's great to know that so many of us are alive and well, and living and/or exceeding the life that we envisioned. Although I graduated from another HS, my roots are in Union, UHS, and all that preceeds. I still have family and friends in the area who I visit periodically. It would be great ...Expand for more
to hear from those of you who remember me.
As for me , I'm divorced (20+ years), no children, living and working in the Washington, DC metro area since college days and loving it! The nation's capital has a bit of everything. There's always something to do, or "something doing"! I've been here so long that I consider it my home. Other than an occasional stint abroad, there is no other place that I'd rather be. I have a terrific job where I develop International HR policy and serve as a Policy Advisor for the US Government's Foreign Service, which includes over 56,000 locally hired Foreign Nationals, American citizen residents, and family members in over 170 American embassies and consulates around the world.
There is a lot of travel involved with this job, and a large volume of daily direct communications with people from all cultures. There is never a dull moment, and each day brings new challenges! I have expanded my friendships around the globe which includes people of other ethnicities and cultures that I never would have otherwise met! I look forward to each workday as I have for 30+ years. My life has been enriched, and I am truly blessed!
Peace
