Michlene's Story
I am the happy grandmother of Liam, born December 31, 2006, Ronan, born November 1, 2008, Thora, born December 4, 2011 and Darby, born March 13, 2014. My daughter, Katrina, is a wonderful woman and mother; I am very fortunate to have her and my grandchildren close to me. Katrina has a Master's Degree in Irish Studies, with a passing knowledge of Irish Gaelic. We had the pleasure of visiting "The Motherland' (yes, I'm Irish (in part); Wojcieszak is my adoptive family name) some years ago; a very powerful experience. I earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and after a three years of internship and much anxiety was actually licensed by the State of California as a psychotherapist (one word). retty awesome for someone who failed the driver's test twice. Since that time I have worked almost exclusively in Forensic Mental Health in Napa, Alameda and Solano Counties. I am preparing to "retire" soon to focus my energies on writing and painting. When I'm not doing silly things like updating my social media profile, I am typically working in the garden, lost in a good book or playing with my grandchildren. My motto: "Life is good." My favorite quote: "Don't believe everything you think."
As for the the St. Vincent Years... I didn't do teenager well, but I had a lot of fun with good friends whom I remember fondly (Henrietta LaVarta in particular) and I cannot adequately express how thankful I am for Mr. Cushman's positive influence.
